“Whereas every kidney donation represents a life saved, this particular event held a great deal of significance for both countries and all donors and recipients involved. Using the MediGO technology during the three-way kidney exchange provided us with confidence that each donor’s gift would arrive safely and on time, providing all donors, recipients, transplant centers and countries with peace of mind that no unforeseen problems would arise in transit. We are extremely grateful.”

The MediGO team would like to take a moment to reflect on our involvement in the recent historic, international living donor kidney exchange. We express gratitude to our colleagues at Alliance for Paired Kidney Donation (APKD) for facilitating the use of our technology to track one of the donated kidneys between the United Arab Emirates and Israel.  MediGO’s mission begins with improving health outcomes, and this extends beyond the United States. It was an honor knowing that our technology, which was created in Baltimore, Maryland, was used in this monumental event that took place on the other side of the planet.

As we continue to keep our mission at the forefront, the MediGO team is inspired to see that our technology delivers confidence to the organ transplant community, and to the world.
